Bradford Christian School ICT Acceptable Use Policy
I will agree to:

Use computers (including own laptop) for school purposes only

Be careful with all equipment

Only look in my own folder unless a teacher gives me permission to look at something else

Give any disks/CDs/USB sticks I bring in to Mr Kershaw to check for virii and suitability

Tell the teacher or other adult about any bad things found on the computer, on the internet or brought in by another pupil
I will not:

Use the computers for anything except school work, without permission

Access any email account without permission from Mr Kershaw

Access any chat rooms
-
Use any messenger service
-
Visit inappropriate web sites during school hours without a teacher's permission, including, but not limited to:

YouTube, Google Video or any other video site

MySpace, FaceBook or any other social networking site

games sites, including Flash games
-
If you are unsure whether a site is suitable, don't 'risk it' - check with Mr Kershaw

Look at files or folders that do not belong to me unless a teacher gives me permission
-
Install my own programs or games onto the school computers, including web-based games which install plugins
-
Bring in unsuitable material
-
Use disks/CDs/USB sticks from home unless I have permission from Mr Kershaw
-
Deliberately damage or be careless with the computers, monitors, keyboard, mice & any other equipment in ICT
-
Download any data without the teacher's permission
Punishment
If you do something wrong on the computers on purpose you may face one of the following punishments:

Demerits
-
Detention
-
Stopped from using the computers for a period of time at the discretion of Mr Kershaw
-
Written report to the Governors who may wish to consider suspension or expulsion
The school will talk to your parents about the punishment if you do something wrong.

I will ensure my child understands the issues and points in the Bradford Christian School ICT Acceptable Use Policy.

I will support and promote the values contained within it

I will also, if necessary, explain the nature of inappropriate material, which the school deems as anything:

abusive, harrassing, libellous, obscene, offensive, profance, pornographic, threatening, sexually explicit or illegal material.
