Class Four have been writing poetry in two styles:

• A sad event to do with the loss of something
• Poems about the skating trip

What has happened to doggy father?

 What has happened to doggy, father?
 What has happened to dog?
 There's nothing left but a brown little bed
 And next to that a chewed log!

 Why is his dinner untouched ,father
 His bone not chewed or wet
 I've searched the house 6 times and still
 I haven't found him yet.

 Why when I say "Where is my dog?"
 You turn your head in shame
 I try to ask you now and again
 But still you do the same.

 How come when I turn and ask you
 "Please help me find my pet"
 You turn your head like I'm not there
 And then you seem upset!

 Why is it when I look at you
 You look troubled and sad
 It looks like your regretting something
 O please tell me my dad.

What Happened to Puppy?

 Where is my playful Puppy Mummy?
 Where is my little Pup?
 I have searched the whole house over
 Down stairs and even up.

 Her bed is cold and empty Mummy.
 Why didn't she take her bone?
 I miss her so much Mummy.
 Now I feel so alone.

 I want to cry Mummy Oh so bad.
 Oh where did she go?
 All her things are here Mummy.
 And how I miss her so.

 What happened to puppy Mummy?
 What happened to Pup?
 I miss her so much Mummy.
 Why is her window up?

Where is Jessie?

 What has happened to Jessie mummy?
 What has happened to Jess?
 There's nothing left but her old brown saddle
 There's an enormous mess.

 Why is her hay untouched mummy?
 Why has it all gone bad?
 I've searched in the stables high and low
 It makes me extremely sad.

 Why is her stable open mummy?
 Why was the vet here?
 Why is your face sad and troubled mummy?
 I sure hope she is near.

 Is she over the valley mummy?
 Is she over the hills?
 Will she come back for some dinner mummy?
 She has to take her pills.

 Please tell me where Jess has gone mummy?
 Mummy why do you stress?
 What has happened to my Jessie mummy?
 What has happened to Jess?

Rio de Janeiro

 Rio was a very different city,
 The waves there are very high,
 The statue of Christ is enormous,
 Reaching up to the blue sky.

 On Copacobana beach,
 We watched the beach volleyball,
 We sat there in the December heat,
 But it wasn't to hot at all.

 What happened to Sammy?

 She's not in the wood's mum
 And she's not eaten her ham

 Why is she not on the sofa mum?
 Where she normally sits
 Please dont leave her here mummy
 I love her to bits.

 Why is she not barking?
 At the people that pass by
 Why do I not here her cry?

 Why can't I hear her swimming?
 In the paddling pool
 She's not splashing around
 Even though it is cool.

 I normally give her a kiss
 Why is she not in the cat lit?

What has happened to Skip?

 What has happened to Skippy mummy?
 What has happened to Skip?
 Why when I ask you these questions mother,
 Do you turn and bite your lip?

 I woke up very early this morning,
 Waiting for barking sounds,
 But why did I only hear cars outside,
 And not our Alsation hound?

 Why isn't Skippy in his basket there?
 And his food bowl cast away?
 I have searched every corner yet,
 I've still not found him today.

 I've not seen the poor thing anywhere,
 Now it's been quite long,
 Doesn't he live here with us anymore?
 I can't hear his howling song.

 But oh Mama Papa surely you can't mean . . .
 Why didn't you tell me?
 I thought he was alone on his walk,
 I have been waiting to see!

 I didn't think of that unbearable one,
 Now please tell me nothing more,
 Oh dear dear what did he do so suddenly?
 Oh my heart aches so sore.

 I don't know why, I don't understand,
 Standing you still bite your lip,
 What has happened to Skippy  Mummy?
 What has happened to Skip?

 His teddy is not here
 It's in the dusty bin

 Why is his food untouched?
