Class Two have been looking at how poems rhyme, including some of the poems in robert Louis Stephenson's "A Child's Garden of Verse", many of which use an AABB rhyming pattern.
We have written our own poems using a similar style - see if you can spot the rhyming patterns.
Christmas
This morning I woke from my sleep,
I lifted my quilt to have a peep,
I remembered it was Christmas Day,
I went downstairs to have a play.
And went outside to see,
all was covered even my big tree,
There was snow all around,
Even the ground.

Soggy Froggy
I got out of my bed
and I saw my favourite shed
and then I hurt my little head
on the corner of my bed.
And then I saw a little doggy
who was called a moggy
and she saw a soggy froggy
so she chased the soggy froggy.

Cody & the Secret Agents
Cody was a normal boy
He had a big toy
Some secret agents came one day
And took him away.
They asked him to become an agent,
They said they would page him.
