Dr Viccary

Dr M W Viccary, B Tech PhD, PGCE (1st Class Hons)

Head of Science department.

Starting November 2006 Dr Viccary will be giving a series of 12 weekly lectures entitled Studies In The Book Of Genesis at Canaan Christian College, near Five Lane Ends.

  • Married with 5 children aged from 16 to 23.
  • I am a member of South Craven Evangelical Church, Cross Hills.
  • I enjoy reading, photography and Cricket (watching!)

Researched Science at University of Leiden (Holland) in Solid-state Chemistry and industry in polymer chemistry and coriporiten. Private research on the relationship between science and the Christian faith.

Previous teaching experience:

  • Supply teaching in Northumberland and Borden 1998-1999
  • GCSE and A level Chemistry and Physics at Boston Grammar School 1999-2000
  • Studied at Bible College and Seminary over a seven-year period between 1986-1993

I am committed to a Biblical Creation (in six days some six thousand years ago) and believe that evolution has done untold harm not only to science but also to normal life in general. It is unthinkable that children are taught that we came from nothing and go to nothing as this means that the period in between is of little or no value.
