Mr Kershaw will be introducing the staff to the school web site.

Unlike most web sites, the BCS site uses a system that enables any member of staff to update it, using only a web browser. By the end of the session everyone should have updated at least one page - and maybe more!

We will cover:

1. What pages are already on the site?
   • Newsletters, School Diary & staff pages
   • Subject information & pupil's work
   • Photos from trips & visits
   • Information for parents
2. How To Edit Pages
   • Basic formatting
   • Linking to other pages
   • Linking to other web sites
3. We'll also look at the Site Guidelines for appropriate content
4. Adding pictures, PDFs & other files
5. Advanced stuff (for those who want to!)

There will be plenty of 'hands on' time and you'll create (or update) your own page on the site!

If you'd like to have a go before the session, click the 'Request password' link and it'll email you the password if you have a BCS email address. Otherwise, email Mr Kershaw and he'll send you the password for the site. Don't worry - you can't break anything (it's easy to revert to a previous version of any page) and there's a comprehensive help section for beginners.
