Mrs J Bate B/Ed Maths
Middle School Teacher: Class Six, Seven and Eight,
Married with grown up children.
I am an active member at Faith Ministries in Leeds. My church commitments include teaching in Church and at Sunday School and also preaching at our sister churches. I became a Christian through a Scripture Union bible week and have served the Lord since being saved at 16.
From an administrative background I trained as a mature student qualifying in state system in 1979 and have worked both in the personnel side of teaching at the West Sussex Area Education office in Chichester and briefly in state school where I took on supply work and worked with children with learning difficulties in Year 6. In 1990 due to a Company move we came north but prior to this I had taken on several training courses in Christian Education.
In September 1991 I took my first teaching post using the A.C.E. system in Leeds where I worked until July 1998 before being used full time in the church. I went back into teaching in 2002 at Emmanuel Community College to assist a Year Ten student with severe psychological problems and ended up teaching Maths to a Year 7 group.
I was called to Bradford Christian School in 2004 working first with Year Seven and Year Eight only. I have a love for children of all ages desiring to see them make sound Christian choices and encouraging them to meet their full potential. I am totally committed to Christian education and the value Christ has given to us for life.
