18th January 2005

Dear Parents

Praise & Worship

The Praise And Worship Evening originally scheduled for Wednesday 19th January will now take place on Wednesday 26th January at 6pm. The school band will play and members of the Discipleship group will take part. At 7pm, following the Praise & Worship, there will be an opportunity for parents whose children have enrolled on the discipleship course and who may wish to go to Romania this summer to find out more about the course and our work with the Amadeus Foundation. Details of our proposals for this year's trip to Mangalia will be given.

After school club

After the half term break the 25 students on the Discipleship course will begin to run a children's after school club for children in Y3–Y6 inclusive. Any children who wish to attend the club, which will run every Wednesday during term time between Wednesday 23rd February and Wednesday 18th May, should return the permission slip below as soon as possible. The club will be overseen by Mr Moon, Mr Walker and Mr Richardson and will take place between 3:30 – 5:00pm. Activities will include games, crafts, Bible study, Worship and prayer.

Secondary tuck shop re-opens

Due to popular demand the tuck shop will re-open this week. Secondary pupils will be able to purchase snacks and drinks during morning break.

School uniform reminder

Mr Barton would like to remind parents of school rules regarding jewellery. Girls should not be wearing earrings in school. There are a number of girls who have started to wear them and they will be asked to remove them if seen. To ensure your child is not embarrassed in class by being told to remove earrings, please do not allow them to come to school wearing them. Also may we remind you that your child should be wearing black shoes in school. There are a few children wearing trainers, which are not acceptable. For girls who choose to wear boots, they are allowed to wear them to travel to school in but they should have a pair of shoes to change into while inside. Some girls are wearing 'fashion boots' inside school which are unnecessary.

Holiday List 2005-2006

The holiday list for the school year 2005-2006 was distributed to parents yesterday. Please ask your child for it if it has not yet been passed onto you.

Coffee Stop starts on Wednesday

Coffee Stop: Please look out for more details of this exciting part of school life. The first one is this Wednesday, 19th January.

Yours sincerely

P J Moon
