Conistone & London Trips
School will be a slightly quieter place this week with years 7 and 8 out for the majority of the week at Conistone and London respectively.
Year Seven with their form teacher Mr Leedham and other members of staff and parents will spend 2 nights in the Dales walking and enjoying other activities designed to help the year group gel. Students from 4 other schools as well as Bradford Christian School have come together to form the New Year Seven.
Year Eight will visit London for 3 nights with Mrs Marsden their form teacher and other members of staff. Students will be hosted by families of Emmanuel Christian School Romford. From Romford our students will take sight seeing excursions into the capital.
Please pray for safety and for a positive time for all students on these trips.
After School Study
Mr Leedham will make the art room available after school on Wednesdays for those students on the GCSE Art course. This will be an opportunity for students to spend more time on their art and have tutorial help from Mr Leedham. This arrangement will begin on Wednesday 20th October.
Room 5 is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 3.30-5.00pm for students in Years 9, 10 and 11 who would rather undertake their homework in the work environment of school and with access to school computers. A small number of students are working in this way through the request of staff, but the facility is available to all students in Years 9, 10 and 11.

Parking
May we remind and inform new parents of our requests concerning dropping off and parking.
Students in their Primary years need their parents to bring them into school and collect them from the school site. Therefore, parents of primary students should park up on the road above the school.
Students in their Secondary years can be dropped off and picked up more quickly. We advise a one way system where cars turn right on Walter Street and parents park up at right angles to the road on Allison Lane, in front of the garages.
Please remember that the school is in a residential area and that we 'invade' the neighbourhood twice a day for 20 minutes.
Please do not park on the curb outside residents' homes. This causes offence and we have been asked not to do it by local homeowners. Members of staff had to deal with an irate resident last week who had been verbally abused by one of the schools parents, when they had been asked to move on from outside the residents home.
Please adhere to the one way system for the safety of students, parents and residents.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Annual Partnership Meeting & Inset Day
Can we remind parents that there is an INSET day next Friday (October 22nd) school therefore finishes on Thursday 21st October. However we are very much looking forward to meeting with parents at our Annual Partnership Meeting 7.30-9.00pm in the main hall. This is the only meeting we ask all parents to attend.
This year the focus of the meeting will be the nature of our home/school partnership. The evening will involve a video presentation and the opportunity to meet in small discussion groups. The school will also publish an Annual Report to parents, which will cover other important information we will not have time for on the partnership evening.
Please book this date in your diaries or contact the office if you are unable to attend this meeting.
School fees & milk money
May we remind parents in Primary classes that the year's milk/juice money is now payable (£20)
Lastly, may we remind parents to check their bank statements and ensure with their banks if necessary, that the correct fees are being paid in the new academic year.
