Newsletter 30 Oct 2006

Welcome back to the new half term and the run up to Christmas. Y11 are gearing up for their mocks in the last two weeks of the term. Various reports and consultations will begin this half term as the academic year is well underway. Please make a note of our Christmas programme of celebrating our Saviour’s birth and sharing the gospel.

The last half term closed with an Open Day on October 17th. As a result three new children will join us this week with another two joining us for a weeks trial. Other families, as a result of the Open Day, will be interviewed next January for places in September. We are discovering that these days are well worth doing. We met a family who had worked with us 10 years ago when they acted as guardians, now they are considering placing children of their own with us. We also met a family who had already been talked through the issues surrounding Christian Education. The visit simply finished off the process of considering the school. We also met families who had come on the testimony of family members who had recently attended the school as well as families who live in the street overlooking the school…be ready to be involved in making our next Open Day a success in March 2007.

Finally, as we seek to move on in our understanding of how we can develop our Partnership, do make a note to join us on one of our sessions where Paul Hubbard and myself take the time to explain again the basis for our Partnership and how we can all get so much more out of our involvement for the sake of our children.

Please would you return all forms relating to Partnership Workshops, in order to help us plan some open meetings in the new year, also forms with Contact Details and Partnership Directory.
