The vision for a Christian School in Bradford began to grow as myself, my wife and a number of our friends became parents in the mid 1980's. With excitement we began to discover that the Bible had much wisdom to impart as we began to take up our responsibilities as new parents.
As we read, talked and shared with each other some of the principles we were learning, we also began to share with our children; we shared knowledge of God as Creator, Father, Saviour and friend. As a result we were encouraged to see them develop in their relationships and responses to life.
In 1992 we began to hold a series of presentations around Bradford putting forward proposals for a Christian school. From this time like-minded people began to gather together and work towards the opening of the school.
We opened in September 1993 with 37 pupils. We now have approximately 200 pupils between the ages of 4 and 16. We draw children from 38 churches as well as children from non-Christian families.
We see it as an important Biblical principle that we support, encourage, challenge and equip parents in their role. We acknowledge, value and uphold the centrality of parental responsibility in the nurture of children.
