ICT is a fundamental part of our lives. The growth in the use of mobile phones, portable computers and the Internet is affecting the way we all live and work. This subject area explores the use of ICT in society and gives the essential background needed to work in a technological society.
The course will provide pupils with an essential foundation for any other courses including courses specific to the use of computers and new technology such as A-level, AS, vocational and occupational courses. The course will reflect the fact that God Himself is a Communicator and Creator, we are created as creative beings, and He has established principles and order in the universe. We will also look at moral and ethical issues in ICT from a Christian standpoint, encompassing the Media and the effect of ICT on society and social attitudes.
