Endangered Species

Gen 2:19 describes how God has given us stewardship of the Earth's plants and animals, yet many species have already become extinct (there are no living examples on the planet) and many others are in danger of extinction.

This is not an historical problem - this is happening in your lifetime. The population of the Black Rhino has declined 95% since 1970. Nor is it a remote issue - as you can see from the article below, the population of Bradford's most endangered bird, the twite, has halved from 500 to 250 breeding pairs in just over a decade:

Database work

Class Three used databases to help them find out about endangered species. They created a database in Microsoft Works and entered the name, location, population and reason for decline of animals from the World Conservation Monitoring Centre's list of 140 endangered species.

Using a MS Works database based on the Threatened Species online database, Class Three answered the questions in the Endangered Species Quiz.
