Week 4

• Heart beats.
• Simple brain and nervous system develop.
• Eyes and inner ears begin to form.

Week 12

• Foetus looks human
• All organs, muscles and limbs are fully formed
• Foetus is sensitive to heart, touch, light and sound.

Week 18

• The baby moves, kicks and somersaults in the womb.
• It makes breathing movements.
• It grasps and sucks its thumb.

Week 24

• Face is fully formed.
• Fingerprints are formed.
• May respond to loud noises or music.
