School Prospectus Admission Statement

It is the policy of the school :-

A. To admit children of parents who can agree with the aims of the school.

B. To admit children whose parents are able to embrace the policy and practice of the school to provide a Bible based education to all pupils regardless of background.

C. To use discretion in cases of application from parents with children with specific learning needs. If we feel we do not have the resources to meet the child's need, we will refuse application. This is intended to safeguard both parents and the school equally.

D. To reserve the right to expel any pupil who consistently detracts from the aims of the school and the environment we seek to create.

Admissions Procedure

The staff and governors feel that interested parents must consider the above statements very carefully. If a child is given a place at Bradford Christian School, we will invite parents into a partnership to educate the child in the terms made explicit above.

We would recommend the following procedure:

Please make contact with the school secretary who will invite you to make an appointment to meet with a member of senior management to discuss the aims of the school with you and answer any questions you may have. You will also be able to view the school in session. We would then ask you to complete an application form should you wish to proceed further with a place for your child at the school.

We are not able to confirm a place for any pupil until a formal interview has taken place. The interview may involve the Headteacher, Deputy Head or a school governor. The interview will involve discussing with parents the points laid out on a partnership form that will be sent out before the interview. Children in Year 5 and above will be invited to spend two days at the school in the class they will be joining prior to the formal interview with their parents.
